The first CALIMA SCHOOL & Surfcamp founded in 1996 in Canary islands. It developed from the idea of connecting snowboarding and surfing with the common desire to "Keep on free-riding". This was the philosophy of the first surf camps for snowboarders in Europe and Spain.

The surf camp in Winter/Summer, just 50 metres from the waves, Famara's is easy going and with a friendly atmosphere with CalimaSurf in Northwest of Lanzarote (Playa Famara). Here everybody is a beginner, ready to learn how to catch waves and surf! At our camps you can meet people from all over the world with whom you will share this wonderful experience for your holiday. Our religion is surf and nature and our objective is to make you feel home. CALIMA kite surfing organizes your perfect holidays, professional tuition, kitebording camp and courses by instrctors IKO level 2 for beginners, intermediated and advanced kiters in Canaries, Nothwest of Lanzarote's, lessons for all levels of participants at playa Famara. Recomended from March to Augoust.

The windsurfing school and lessons are in Costa Teguise, a well known spot worldwide, for its excellent conditions for your windsurf holiday.

The diving center associated with us is an official BS-AC PADI school where you will get a PADI courses certificate and card upon competition of the program. Special holiday for families, scuba dive for kinder and lessons for all levels of diving.

If you wish to combine your holidays with trekking we have several packages with different routes and courses that you can choose from. All with accommodation included inside "Famara Natural Park" away from massive tourism, deep in the heart of nature and just 100m from a stunnig 6km long sandy beach (Playa Famara).
